Diary of the Bali Surf Trips
Surf’s Up! Senior Instructor and Bali veteran, Wailin, will be your tour guide. With 11 Bali trips under his belt, he has the surf conditions and whole local scene wired.
The surf on Bali is super consistent, with waves every day!
“I catch more good waves in a month in Bali than I do in the rest of the year” says Wailin. “You literally feel your surfing getting better with every session…so stoked!”
All abilities are catered for: The breaks range from fun beaches to mellow introductory reefs, to full on barrelling reef breaks, amongst the best in the world.
Water temperature is around 27 degrees C so boardshorts, rash vests and sunscreen are the go, freeing up your surf muscles and making you only want to get to shore when you can’t paddle any more.
The daily routine includes the option of a Dawn Patrol to get in the water as day breaks, chilling by the hotel pool or heading down for a late morning surf, siesta, afternoon surf, dinner and off to crash, shattered but surf stoked ready to do it all again the next day.
The Balinese are humble, welcoming people and you will have the chance to experience the culture of this island paradise during your stay. They’re also family orientated and Wailin was there with his wife and 2 young children this year enjoying chilling with the locals. Good times!
