Waterman Hydration
The Waterman is designed for in-water use and features the same chestplate design as the Fatboy backpack, providing an excellent fit without impeding your paddling. It effectively limpets onto your back in order to minimise resistance when duck diving.
The design of the Waterman has taken great care to ensure that the surfer has full and free use of his or her arms and that paddling is not restricted in anyway.
The backpack is particularly suited for use in warmer climates or during the summer, when hydration becomes a key factor to stamina.
Unlike surfing, few other sports require athletes to perform for such extended lengths of time - anywhere up to 8 hours - without hydration, and its often not until you have the pack on that you realise how thirsty you can become. Having an intake of water or isotonic drink can significantly benefit your surfing performance and allows you to stay in the surf for longer.
The Waterman is especially useful in SUP boarding, and in particular due to the regulations that prevail in most SUP races that entrants must carry with them a pre-requisite amount of rehydrating liquid.
Tips
Note the chest plate can be removed and the Curve Waterman used as a normal backpack by undoing the web tidies, unthreading the chest plate, and putting the bottom straps direct up to the top buckles.
Removable hydration bladder is included and is secured by 2 clips in the top of the backpack main compartment.
Bladder capacity is 1.5 litres
