To me?
Am I really the first person to post on the new Surf's Up forum?! Cool!
And also congratulations to Pete and the Surf's Up guys for evolving in to what you have (currently!) become... I and my wife have both learnt to surf with Wailin (top man!) and he's always ready with a smile and a friendly word when we see him on our trips to Polzeath.
My Mum's family are from by the Camel Trail between Bodmin and Wadebridge and I have been coming to Polzeath since I was a few months old (34 years ago!) and now come with my own family - it's a beautiful area. We now live "up-country in Ipswich", but still come down at least once a year... we were down a week ago for a fornight and scored a few waves.... and our 3 yr old daughter surfed her first waves with me pushing her on to them on a boogie board - another customer in a couple of years time!
I have seen over the years how Pete and Jane have developed Surfs Up over the years and well done them.... a true measure of their success is that SU do a roaring trade teaching in the water while the pretenders across the stream are kicking their heels on the beach, so well done Pete & Jane, you probably don't know me from Adam, but well done guys, keep up the good work!

Doesn't look like they'll be in luck wave-wise... usually the way when we're down too. Stayed the first week in the Rigi bungalow on the cliff-top at Polz and it was pretty flat all week. Moved in land to St Minver for the second week and hey presto, the surf picked up. Only a 10 minute drive away, so happy days.

Good old Rigi! We stayed there about ten years ago. Wonderful to see the tide rushing in... did you have campers short-cutting through the garden, though?
