Team riders

We're very proud to have two of the finest young surfing talents in the country as our team riders. Both Toby and Harry lead the way in British surfing and are the great hopes of the future. Both fully committed to competition surfing both here and abroad, you can track their progress on this site.

Toby Donachie (15)

A rare talent to come out of the UK and a real hope for the future. We are Toby's coaching sponsors alongside Nike, Quiksilver and Fluid Juice.

As a Surf's Up! team rider he trains with our Elite squad three times a week - that's when he's in the country! Most of the time though he competes both here in the UK and in Europe. This Summer our Elite coach Kelly O'Toole will support him at the World's and the Pro Juniors.

Toby has recently returned from a month of training with Martin Dunn, regarded as the number one surf coach in the world, in Australia and then met up with Kelly in Bali for a further two weeks of intensive training.

Toby is a superb role model for our Surf's Up! Boardriders Club and provides inspiration to the younger members.

If you want to watch Toby surfing, then you can either go to the events or alternatively you'll find him either on Polzeath Beach after school or ripping it up at Constantine

Toby's very easy to spot from the beach - very powerful but super smooth, generates lots of speed. He stands our from the crowd.

Competing at the highest level against the best in Europe is a challenge, but one that he's ready for. These are his apprentice years. We can expect him to dominate the UK scene and pick up valuable experience overseas in preparation for a much bigger assault on the world scene over the next few years.

As you can see Harry dominated his division last year - just blew it away. This year the bar is raised as he moves up an age group. Will this cause him any problems? - no! Look at those results again and you'll realise he was already winning the under 14s last year, and doing pretty good in the under 16s too!

Harry came with us to Bali and is one of the coolest lads. Totally stoked on surfing.
